This is a temporary 3-month contract, that could go permanent for the right fit.
Responsibilities:
Verify receipt of PO items, code invoice accordingly, and verify accuracy of invoice
Perform electronic voucher matches (two-way and three-way matches)
Communicate any PO variances
Match bills to invoices and code accordingly
Direct non-PO invoices to appropriate managers for approval
Process coded and approved invoices
Enter Direct Cheque Requests and Travel Advances
Enter travel claims, petty cash payouts, and credit cards
Liaise with buyers and suppliers on problem invoices
General support to accounting
Set up new vendors
Qualifications:
A diploma or certificate in Accounting or Office Administration is considered an asset
Minimum of 1-2 years in an Accounting role
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Advanced user of Excel
Experience with the use of JD Edwards
Exceptional verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to attend to detail
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
