Senior Data Quality Analyst

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Data Quality Analyst with a strong Data Governance background, extensive knowledge of Collibra and OneTrust, and experience developing data based business strategies to place at our client, a major international retailer.

Client: Major International Retailer

Terms: 6 month contract-to-hire

Project:
Data governance project focused on moving data as an asset and understanding the data’s origins and optimal uses.
This team supports data governance work across Walmart internationally and therefore will require some travel to, (USA – Africa – Asia).

Job Description:
Serves as a Data Governance Analyst and utilizes personal expertise/experience along with insights from researching best practices to propose enhancements to and/or maintain the Enterprise Data Framework.
This position will document and maintain polices, standards, processes and best practices
Serves as a Data Steward, providing insight into the data strategy
This position will serve as the expert as the Enterprise Data Framework develops and additional staff become involved; thus, mentoring will be a part of the responsibilities.
Develops excellent rapport and communication skills with the business partners and the programmers, as well as the management team. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
Serves as primary knowledge base for data governance and data stewardship tools

Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience with data governance design, documentation and implementation.
Understanding of database systems operations and data structures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven passion for the data quality discipline.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Business Rules
CDE’s
Data Governance foundations
GDPR, ARCO, PIPL

Nice to Have:
Experience with Business Rules/CDE’s
A foundational understanding of Data Governance
Knowledge of GDPR

Interview Process: Interviews will take place in two rounds with technical team and another with manager panel.
