Business Analyst
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Business Analyst with 4+ years of Product Ownership or Business Analyst experience with knowledge of e-commerce and retail supply chains to place at our client, a major international retailer.
Client: Major Retailer
Terms: 6-month contract. Strong possibility of extension.
Location: Hybrid – Mississauga

Project:
Development of Omni Automation for digitizing formerly manual tasks to ramp up the e-commerce operations for brick and mortar locations.
Develop modular and creative solutions for the optimization of grocery delivery for stores across Canada.
The team is looking to automate the staging of orders in stores to ensure that the project is capable of scaling effectively.
Supporting software migration and data flows throughout the project and between stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
5+ years working as a business analyst or product owner.
Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and specifying functional and non-functional requirements comprehensively.
Proven ability to create highly detailed documentation for complex projects.
Experience in data-driven discovery, scoping, and impact analysis.
Experience in creating and conducting detailed test cases and validations.
Experience in working with internal and external partners, integrating multiple systems and complex project delivery.
Experience in driving and completing security and privacy reviews, change control management, risk management, and other project deliverables.
Familiarity with agile practices.
Attributes: drive for excellence, quick learner, highly analytical with attention to detail, strong communication/interpersonal skills.
Tools: Visio (or equivalent), Excel, JIRA and Confluence.
Nice to Have:
Ability to take ownership of a technical process improvement from start to finish.
Ecommerce background and supply chain understanding.
Retail experience in brick and mortar as well as e-commerce a huge asset.
Knowledge of REST APIs, network protocols, server infrastructure and information security.
Experience in market research, competitor analysis and discovering innovation opportunities.
Interview Process: Interviews will consist of 2, 30 minutes rounds.
