Al-Rafed Association: Call for Partnerships Strengthening Humanitarian Efforts in Syria and Jordan:

Partnering for Impact Introduction Al-Rafed is a local NGO headquartered in Amman, Jordan. This grassroots organization aims to aid individuals who are vulnerable in the host community refugees and migrants coming to Jordan.

Al-Rafed recently obtained permits to operate in Syriahence the need for partnership building between Al-Rafed and other organizations in Syria and Jordan. After years of conflict in the MENA region, Jordan has taken on many responsibilities, including welcoming refugees through its borders. People from Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, Palestine, and many more have integrated into the Jordanian way of life, living side by side with the host community. Jordanians and migrants alike deserve access to basic services and support, particularly those who are vulnerable.

Some of the biggest needs for people in Jordan and Syria include access to disability and health services, women empowerment and employment opportunities, sustainability projects, and medical and educational care for the most vulnerable populations. Groups affected by war, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty, and exclusion and those who do not have access to health care, and who are gradually being forgotten by the rest of world are the target groups of the Al-Rafed Association. In Jordan, Many basic health and social services are not available to or affordable for refugees. This means many refugees and vulnerable groups in Jordan need assistance in finding employment, therapy, and tools, as well as health services.

Program and Projects Some potential projects are disability and hearing loss support programs, female employment empowerment, and green entrepreneurial programs. Al-Rafed hopes to accomplish these programs well keeping in mind the bigger picture: -providing immediate relief and essential services to displaced communities in Jordan and Syria. -facilitating sustainable development initiatives that empower affected populations. -Strengthening local capacities for long-term resilience and self-sufficiency. -Promoting inclusion and empowerment of vulnerable groups ( minority refugees + elderly and disabled ) -Financial and educational empowerment of women in Jordan and Syria -Advocating equality and equity for vulnerable members of the host community and refugee communities alike Activities

This included refugees of any age or ethnic background; however, special care will be taken to ensure minority refugees (Yemeni, Somali, Sudanese, Iraqi, etc) have access to our services.

Al-Rafed also aims to target the same demographics within the host community within Jordan and now Syria. All people, no matter their gender, age, ability level, or socioeconomic status will be aided through Al-rafed’s efforts.

Partnership Opportunities Beyond immediate relief efforts, Al-rafed projects, and programs will enhance community inclusion, social inclusion, green practices, financial/educational capacities, and open opportunities for women in Syria and Jordan.

The projects will be measured and assessed as time proceeds using MEAL tools. Al-Rafed will implement feedback mechanisms in every program and project design.

Conclusion The people of Jordan and Syria need community-based support. Al-rafed along with our future partners will become a pillar of their communities. Offering many basic needs supports, resources, and sustainable efforts, Al-Rafed needs support in pursuing these goals. The partnerships in Jordan and Syria will create prosperous and durable solutions for refugees and host communities alike. Together, through collective action, Al-rafed and its future partners can create a positive impact on vulnerable communities. We look forward to this collaborative effort.
