Agile Testing & Packaging Assessment Manager

Position purpose

There is a vacancy within the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Department (SRA) at JT International SA (JTI), for an Agile Testing & Packaging Assessment Manager.

As a key member of our team, the ideal candidate will be an open-minded and flexible team player, demonstrating a results-oriented approach. We seek an individual capable of integrating technical and scientific expertise with proven problem-solving skills. The primary purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the coordination of all testing processes from generating ideas to testing conclusions, collaborating both internally and externally.

What Will You Do – Responsibilities

  • Commission chemical analyses and toxicological testing as part of the Global JTG product stewardship process, ensuring alignment within the SRA department and business strategic projects.
  • Generate and analyze product consumption data to support material assessment.
  • Commission testing related to ingredients and products.
  • Conduct appropriate assessment and testing to support commercial decisions regarding primary packaging and factory materials.

Who Are We Looking For – Requirements

  • Expertise in chemical analyses with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven 5 years’ experience in the tobacco or consumer goods industry.
  • Knowledge of product, manufacturing practices, and related testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the department in cross-functional team meetings, building and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Strong team player with excellent English communication skills (both written and oral); proficiency in other foreign languages is advantageous.
  • Proficient in common PC software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • University degree in a scientific field, preferably in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology.
