And can you demonstrate substantial experience in overseas programme and office management in an international relief and/or development setting?

You may be our new Country Representative in Afghanistan!

In this role, you will contribute to the further strategic direction of Mission East’s activities in Afghanistan and lead our activities in Afghanistan, delivering all aspects of country programme and operational management such that they are compliant to internationally recognised standards of quality, good practice, and local legislative requirements.

Mission East has about 70 employees in Afghanistan, is funded by 6 donors and works through both local partners and our own teams to assist more than 110,000 people in the North-East. Our assistance includes cash for food and winterisation, WASH, sustainable livelihood and food security, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

Mission East is an international relief and development organisation working in crisis-affected countries in the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Asia. We deliver emergency relief during disasters as well as long-term development assistance. We from origin a Danish faith-based organization, working with the mission to support vulnerable people and help local communities lift themselves out of poverty and marginalisation. We work directly with our beneficiaries or through local and international partners. We adhere to professional sector standards (CHS) and constantly strive to strengthen the relevance, effect, and sustainability of our programmes.
