KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)
• Supporting the head of advocacy & campaign in coordination and monitoring of the agreed priority
advocacy & campaigns work
• Maintaining the global strategic and operational plans and contributing to the overall calendar for
advocacy, campaigns and engagement
• Ensuring procedures are followed and consultation is adequate for appropriate and accountable
decisions.
• Ensuring countries working on the priority campaigns are supported to participate in worldwide
campaign activities
• Coordinating the advocacy and campaigns governance teams, including the campaign assemblies to
ensure maximum participation by countries, regions and affiliates in these bodies.
• Day-to-day financial monitoring of the budget for the advocacy and campaigns work in association
with colleagues from the operations teams.
• Monitoring evaluation and learning working with the MEAL lead/operations team. Ensuring
implementation and, where appropriate, recommending and implementing any necessary correction.
This may involve active support or project management of campaign areas that are not functioning
well, as determined by the head of the campaign.
• With the head of advocacy and campaigns and internal communications colleagues ensuring that
priority advocacy and campaigns work are front and centre of people’s mind across the
confederation.
• Ensuring advocacy and campaigns work has maximum involvement of country program, allies and
partners, and working with the head of advocacy and campaigns and other colleagues to ensure they
are reflective of the lived experiences of people living poverty, and that they are delivered in a non-
extractive, decolonised, anti-racist feminist way.
