Build Africa

Build Africa Kenya (BAK) is a locally registered NGO and affiliated to Street Child UK. Our Vision is to ensure every child leaves school with the desired skills for a successful life. Our Mission is to support communities to help children overcome barriers to Education. BAK is currently operational in Nakuru, Siaya, Turkana and Laikipia Counties.

BAK is looking for suitable candidates for its Advisory Board. The overall responsibilities of the board include provision of strategic and governance support to BAK programming; supervisory role to BAK’s Country Director; monitor organizational performance and compliance with government stipulated legislations and represent BAK in a variety of forums.

The required candidates should possess high integrity, commitment and any or a combination of the following professional & academic qualifications.

**a)Key professional Skills:**Institutional Leadership,Project Management,Gender Mainstreaming,Child Rights,Community Handling,Partnerships,HRM,Resource Mobilization, Financial Management,Strategy Development & Implementation.

b)Academic: Graduate and/or post graduate degree in any or more of the following: Education, Agriculture/Livelihood, Leadership, Community Development, Sociology, Project Management, HRM, Gender, and Law. Any other relevant degrees will be considered.

The selected Board members will serve a maximum of two terms of THREE years each. They will serve on VOLUNTARY BASIS.
