Summary
The Advisor, Performance Analysis and Reporting applies technical expertise in report design, data management, and data analysis to produce reports for key stakeholders within the Portfolio Growth and Performance (PGP) department, Business (Program) Teams, Finance, and Senior Leadership to support our shared goal of understanding our performance in both institutional fundraising and award implementation. The Advisor is responsible for tracking and reporting on Save the Children’s New Business Development (NBD) and Award Management (AM) metrics; providing data analysis for executive decision-making; monitoring and supporting data quality across the agency and the global movement; and supporting proposal development, knowledge management, and learning efforts. The Advisor will play a key role in identifying and advancing process improvements across the NBD and AM functions. The Advisor acts as a resource across the Agency for analyses related to NBD and AM and leads data projects across the department and the division with limited oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Data Analysis and Reporting (75%)
• Lead the data analysis and reporting processes for key NBD and AM metrics, including New Raise, Win Rates, Monthly AM Key Performance Indicators, Return on Investment for Proposal Development.
• Prepare analyses and presentations for priority-setting and decision-making meetings with stakeholders across the department, division, and Agency, including executive leadership.
• Proactively anticipate new reports needed or customization to existing reports based on an in-depth understanding of stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement viable improvements to Save the Children’s metrics, reporting procedures and tools, and reporting technologies to ensure data integrity and management utility.
• Research new
• Build consensus to facilitate change management and data design and stewardship processes when new systems are introduced to encourage effective uptake and use among key stakeholders.
• Explain complex and sensitive information related to NBD and AM in a clear and consistent manner that considers the audience and their needs.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships and business processes across departments, overseas offices, and seniority levels to facilitate information tracking and reporting.

Knowledge Management and Learning (15%)
• Lead the development and application of sound knowledge management practices around NBD and AM data, including data maintenance, data filing, and data archiving.
• Build capacity among data owners to maintain accurate records and produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc dashboards and reports for Agency leadership.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, processes, and tools for analysis and reporting within the NBD and AM functions and implement improvements or make recommendations, based on assessment.
• Serve as a resource for other colleagues on data management, reporting, and analysis. Seeks out professional development opportunities relevant to the role and share learning with colleagues.

Proposal Development, Award Management, and Special Projects (10%)
• Manage the process of producing the annual U.S. Government Account Review Report, which is shared across the entire organization including the executive levels.
• Support with proposal development and award management in various capacities, including but not limited to writing, reviewing, and editing sections and reports; graphics; budget support; partner relations; and final proposal production for submission to donors.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in area of expertise.
• Professional level of specialized knowledge to manage complex tasks, programs, or projects.
• Proven ability to translate and present data points into a coherent, visual picture of organizational performance trends.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, independent working, and self-directed initiative.
• Professional proficiency in MS Office suite, including Power BI.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Preferred Qualifications
• New Business Development and/or Award Management experience, particularly in USAID context, strongly preferred.

Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
• Geo 1 – NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $84,150 – $94,050 base salary.
• Geo 2 – Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $76,500 – $85,500 base salary.
• Geo 3 – Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $68,850 – $76,950 base salary.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location. Employee may be eligible for an incentive program. Save the Children also offers paid vacation, accrued at least 12 days a year, depending on paygrade and length of service, paid safety and wellness leave of at least 1 day per month worked for a full time employee which is pro rata reduced for employees working less than a full time schedule, and at least 10 paid holidays a year. Employees may be eligible for additional bonus compensation.
