
Dienste in Übersee
Since 1960, more than 7,000 professionals have supported partner organisations of Bread for the World in around 120 countries worldwide and shared their lives with people from another culture. DÜ selects these ecumenically and developmentally committed professionals according to standardised procedures, trains them in intensive preparation for service lasting several weeks and accompanies them during their time abroad and after their return.
As an international professional support the partner by strengthening the competencies of their employees in project management, networks and cooperations as well as corporate communication. You will contribute by helping the staff to improve their practical, methodical and strategical skills in finance and contract management of grants, from the signing of the contract until the final narrative and financial reports as well as with the communication with donor organisations.
Tasks:
- Advising on the diversification of portfolios and identification of strategic partnerships
- Professional support in mapping of the relevant stakeholders such as potential donors and funders
- Facilitating in relationship building and communication with potential donors
- Assisting in concept notes and applications as well as how the organization could present itself
- Conceptualising and conducting workshops to build competencies in fundraising
- Expansion of international networks
Skills:
- Sound knowledge and experience in the acquisition of third-party funding
- A background in setting up social enterprises would be helpful
- A relevant university degree with economic elements
- Competency in English (both written and spoken)
- An affinity to the health sector would be an asset
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Diplomatic and intercultural communication skills and sensitivity
- Openness for social integration into the culture
Citizenship of a European Union Member State or Switzerland is required.
