Job Summary

The Chapter Engagement, Support & Replication Advisor implements the scalable system to onboard, support, inspire, grow, encourage, and retain CRS Spanish preferred chapter leaders and members across the United States that will increase advocacy and fundraising outcomes in support of a more just, equitable, and generous US foreign policy and raise funds for CRS. The Advisor nurtures relationships with Spanish preferred chapter leaders with the aim to grow advocacy and fundraising efforts of their chapter members and grow in their leadership capacity. The Advisor helps ensure the identification of the most highly engaged Spanish preferred chapter and club leaders and supporters for greater engagement and replication. The Advisor supports the adoption and use of Gateway Communities as the platform for chapter leaders and members to access and share information, network with each other, and build a sense of community.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact for Spanish preferred chapter leaders in support of cultivating empowered volunteer leaders, including with up-to-date legislative and advocacy information and tactical guidance, thorough knowledge of community giving efforts, emergency response and other relevant CRS information
  • Reinforces the adoption and use of Gateway Communities among chapter leaders
  • Models facilitation of regular, monthly chapter leader meetings with a focus on the monthly action sheet, peer-to-peer learning, and organizing of advocacy and community fundraising efforts
  • Assesses individual Spanish preferred chapter leaders’ skills, abilities, and interests by applying tools developed by the Learning & Impact team and evaluates potential for leadership capacity
  • Supports Spanish preferred chapter leaders in the identification of chapter functional leads
  • Supports peer-to-peer mentorship of volunteer leaders to deepen skills related to leadership, outreach, recruitment, constituent advocacy and community fundraising.
  • Regularly acknowledges and celebrates Spanish preferred chapter leaders and supports other recognition efforts as developed by the Leadership Development team.
  • Implements regular surveying of Spanish preferred chapter leaders and members as developed by the Learning and Impact Team and applies learning from data analysis to the chapter engagement and support work
  • Works closely with the replication team to implement the system by which replicators are identified and supported. Serves as main point of contact for all Spanish preferred volunteer or partner replicators
