The Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust (RBFT) is an exciting place to work with opportunities for education and development. We are looking for a motivated and experienced midwife to work in an Advanced Clinical Practice role. The applicant must be enrolled on or have completed the ACP Masters programme. The role is underpinned by the four pillars of advanced clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research with demonstration of core capabilities.

The ACP will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and midwifery leadership. They will develop and lead on new ways of working and will support current care pathways, managing complex cases, assessing, diagnosing, prescribing treatment and care monitoring. They will be required to support midwifery and obstetric training programmes to ensure a holistic approach to education that empowers teams and service users.

The ACP Midwife will be supported by the Director of Midwifery, Consultant Midwives and the Medical Director for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview.

The ACP Midwife must be able to work shift patterns including long and short shifts, night shifts and on calls.

Successful applicants will need occupational health clearance from RBFT and satisfactory DBS checks.

To provide advanced clinical practice delivered by an experienced midwife.

This role is underpinned by a masters level award that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competence.
