Main Responsibilities
This is an exciting time to be joining Brooke, as we embark on a new Global strategy. The post is located in the Programmes Directorate (PD) which is responsible for the design and delivery of all programmes in line with our Theory of Change and Brooke’s quality standards of practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare and enthusiastic about supporting the team and wider directorate to function effectively. You will have opportunities to gain an in-depth understanding of how Brooke works in the areas of healthcare, community development and advocacy, as well as opportunities to build working relationships with our country programmes and partnerships. We recognise the link of our work with human development and One Welfare concerns and strive, as an international team, to learn from each other and to produce effective, credible and externally recognised work that impacts on the highest possible number of vulnerable working equines.
Skills and Experience required
You will need to have excellent organisational and administration skills and demonstrate evidence of supporting a team while being confident to also use your own initiative when appropriate. In order to excel in this post you must have excellent English language skills, have a flexible, calm, positive and solution focused attitude and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Experience and understanding of different cultures and ways of working would be extremely beneficial. Finally, we need someone who has knowledge of IT systems, effective information management and a good understanding of how to communicate internally to engage different audiences.
