Administrative Support Assistant

Summary

The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Visitor Services, Planning, Evaluation and Operations (POE) Division, Administration Branch. The Administrative Support Assistant provides a variety of administrative, clerical and technical support to facilitate administration activities in the Capitol Visitor Center.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.Candidates for the GS-08grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes: Extensive experience supporting high level management in a confidential environment;

Using the Microsoft Office suite and other software programs to support and manage administrative activities;

Providing customer service in person, by phone, and online; and

Drafting, reviewing, and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
