Description
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Cardiology team. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.
This person is responsible providing exceptional administrative support to the Chief of Cardiology and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties such as composing and typing correspondence, agenda, and minutes, relaying confidential information, maintaining files, invoices, and coordinating meetings and conference calls. The Admin Assistant screens incoming calls and visitors, ordering supplies and other clerical duties to facilitate the efficient functioning of the department.

You Will Be Responsible For
- Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of care by providing Administrative support to department and treating all patients with respect and dignity
- Excellent Communicator: provides exceptional customer service in person and over the phone with patient, staff, and family members
- Technical Familiarity: Maintains proficiency with office computer systems. Performs administrative support duties in a fast paced environment
- Active Teamwork: Supports colleagues with administrative tasks with positive energy
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 -5 years administrative assistant/secretarial experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Word processing skills incorporating speed, accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and health care delivery systems across the continuum and associated provider / payer accountabilities.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – personal computer/word processing applications used in daily work.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills for use telephonically and in person. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
