The Global Multi-Asset team applies a top-down macro investing approach across a variety of asset classes, including global stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities. The team manages ~$10bn in assets for a diverse range of institutional clients.

The Global Multi-Asset team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management is looking to fill an Administrative Support role. Primary responsibilities will be administrative support and assistance with power point presentations for the team’s clients, however the ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, be resourceful and independent, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become a go-to team member for a ten-person team for administrative and organizational matters.
  • Administration: Phone management for two senior investment professionals on the team
  • Calendar: Organize details of internal and external meetings, special events, conference calls, and conferences. This includes reserving rooms; placing catering orders; creating client-related agendas; creating and printing, mailing, or emailing presentation materials associated with meetings.
  • Travel & Expense: international and domestic travel for 2 people (as well as occasional expense submission and travel support for other team members), including securing appropriate visas; submitting and reconciling all expenses.
  • Client reporting: update presentation materials, send reports to clients as needed.
  • Maintain /update marketing material: work with portfolio specialists to update data in existing and regularly published marketing material, create new marketing materials and presentations, liaise with compliance and marketing departments.
  • Ad hoc projects and requests will form a large part of the responsibilities associated with this role. A willingness to be flexible and juggle multiple deadlines simultaneously is important.
  • Experience working with Microsoft office suite is required, with particular expertise in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Time management skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Resourcefulness and ability to solve problems creatively is extremely important.
  • Experience at a financial institution and familiarity with financial markets is preferred but not required. An interest and willingness to learn is most important.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $60.000 and $110.000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
