International land coalition – Africa (ILC Africa https://africa.landcoalition.org/en/ ) is a Regional Platform of the International Land Coalition (ILC), a global alliance of civil society and intergovernmental organizations united for “people-centred land governance”. ILC Africa brings together 95 members spread across 28 countries in Sub Saharan Africa.

ILC Africa is offering internship opportunity in administration & management. ILC Africa has since 2021 started a scheme that aims at developing/generating new land rights advocates by involving young graduates in the implementation of its work through internship opportunities. The intern is offered with the opportunity to learn, practice, interact with members across countries while supporting the implementation of the ILC strategy in Africa.

Description of role:

The Administration/Management Intern will work closely with the Regional Coordinator and the Administrative Officer to assist with administrative and management tasks.

The duties and responsibilities of the Administration/Management Intern include:

· Support with expenses monitoring.

· Facilitate ILC Africa Staff in all travels

· Take minutes during important events and meetings

· Schedule meetings

· Write reports from different ILC Africa Internal processes

· Support the recruitment and placement of staff/service vendors/consultants and interns

· Facilitate logistics around events such as retreats, press conferences and visits to ILC Africa members

· Liaise and communicate with ILC Africa members to perpetuate Network Vibrancy

· Keep the Membership Contact List and Platform (MemberNet) up to date

· Any other tasks are needed / requested by the supervisor

Knowledge and skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PPT and Excel

· Interest in a membership-based organization / network

· Knowledge of modern office procedures

· Ability to work in a team

· Eager to learn

Education qualification & other considerations

Recently graduated or in pursuit of a degree/qualification in Business Administration or related fields. The internship is open to candidates under 30 years old only.
