Description:* Looking for a technically skilled professional with experience in lab facilities to help manage, maintain and upgrade a high reliability cleanroom and spacecraft testing facility. This person could have varied backgrounds and experience as long as they could assist in the process of facility management, maintenance oversight and general upkeep.
Specific tasks include:
Manage all aspect of the Facility Laboratory
Interface with stakeholders including government and non government personnel.
Maintain the vacuum system for a highly specialized cleanroom and spacecraft instrument testing facility with optical, mechanical, thermal and electrical elements.
Maintain other thermal vacuum systems
Develop and coordinate Mechanical GSE for Laboratory testing
Support optical vacuum verification testing
Helps with a team of engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and solve issues with the thermal vacuum systems if they arise.
Runs connected computer / software systems used to gather test results as needed.
All work is done to NASA flight hardware standards and must have experience with spaceflight hardware.
Systems supported could include both mechanical and electrical subsystems and components.
Participate in formal and informal technical reviews

Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
Some education in either an Engineering Associates or related technical degree would be a plus but experience could substitute for a formal degree.
At least 10-15 yrs of experience.
Knowledge of lab facilities and lab equipment.
Experience with larger, more industrial lab equipment, thermal vacuum chambers or other heavily controlled HVAC environments is a plus.
Relevant mechanical technician experience working with mechanical test equipment or other mechanical ground support equipment a plus.
Knowledge of cleanroom facilities is highly desired.
