Description:* Our client is seeking multiple talented Embedded C++ Developers to participate in the design and development of their PCoIP Cloud Access Software. Currently, this company has over 3 million users in a range of different industries including education, finance, media, entertainment, and healthcare. As part of an Agile development team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of software for all platforms supported by the product. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with low-level application development across several operating systems.
Responsibilities:*
Design, implement, maintain and support embedded firmware, kernel drivers, and application software.
Work within a Scrum team to design, implement and maintain application software and kernel drivers.
Create proposals for technical solutions, team processes and procedures, and driving them through to adoption and implementation.
Coach other developers with regards to code quality, security, maintainability and solution architecture.
Write high-performance, secure, reliable and maintainable code with solid unit test coverage.
Troubleshoot issues in the lab, utilizing debugging tools for application software and kernel drivers.
Requirements:*
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in C++ software development.
Excellent software design and programming skills in C++ as well as experience in a range of languages such as C, Java, Python and Objective-C.
Application development experience with two or more of: Linux, Windows, macOS.
Working knowledge of data compression algorithms.
Bonus Points:*
Knowledge and hands-on experience with kernel and device driver development (Linux and/or Windows)
Windows or Linux application development experience
Experience in one or more of the following: IP networking protocols, 802.1x, certificates, SCEP, USB, smart cards, authentication protocols, encryption
Experience with multi-threaded high-performance programming with in-depth knowledge of CPU architectures
Experience developing secure firmware or software in accordance to industry best practices (e.g.: OWASP, MSDL)
Hardware troubleshooting skills
Experience working directly with end customers
