Description:* This open role is a part of the New Product Development Group, where they will join 2 other engineers and the Engineering Manager. This group focuses on enhancing products, product changes from customers, and developing new products from scratch. They also have a separate engineering group that supports their current products. This Design Engineer will be utilizing and trained on solidedge to design and develop new products and modify existing product lines for the company. They will Work with prototype shop to construct working prototype models when applicable, as well as provide engineering analysis and implementation of design modifications recommended to accommodate continuous production and sale of existing products or improve product efficiency or cost. They will field calls from customers on ideas for changes and improvements to the product, as well as support for repairs and directing those questions to the right people.
Must Have:* 1. 0 – 3 years of experience in Design
New product development (understanding the engineering release process, napkin sketch through release to production)
Existing product modifications, listening to customer improvements, through release 4. 3D CAD design, detailing, modeling (Solidworks, CATIA, ProE, NX/UG/Unigraphics, Creo, Revit)
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or MET
