About this Role

You would be joining a vibrant team going through a period of growth and change in processes that you would be a part of. Under the direction of the Director, Accounting Services, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Payable functions including invoice and payment processing, managing the School’s procurement card system,1099 processing, reconciliation of petty cash accounts, and upholding Perkins policies and procedures.

We’d love to talk to you if you have experience in many of the following:

  • You process and oversee invoice and employee expense reimbursement processing to ensure appropriate coding, documentation and approval are received prior to payment
  • You oversee and execute Purchase Order system implementation and ongoing use and maintenance
  • You are responsible for the scheduling ACH vendor payments and preparing check payments, resolving purchase order, invoice or payment discrepancies, issuing stop payments or purchase order changes
  • You match invoices to cash disbursements, ensure such payments are properly authorized and issue payments accordingly
  • You are responsible for positive pay on all accounts payable check disbursements
  • You process full cycle of electronic fund transfers
  • You manage and maintain the Purchasing Card program
  • You perform final review of reconciliation of Petty Cash accounts
  • You monitor vendor debarment status
  • You are responsible for the vendor master file and communicating with vendors as needed
  • You are responsible for all 1099 processing
  • You participate in audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring any findings are rectified
  • You maintain and uphold policies related to Accounts Payable and update as necessary
  • You are comfortable supervising Accounts Payable support staff
  • You are responsible for establishing and maintaining a service minded relationship with programs and departments
  • You monitor performance metrics

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable. Knowledge of contemporary payables and accounting systems desirable. Knowledge of Purchase Order system preferred.
