Accounting Working Student DACH (f/m/d/x)

Your role

• As Accounting Working Student (f/m/d/x) in the DACH Finance team, you are instrumental in keeping our backend and ledgers on point. You accomplish this through precision, reliability and acquired expertise in HelloFresh’s processes and accounting standards. This position will give you responsibilities within cash management, AP and AR processes, asset accounting and general ledger bookings.
• You will learn by working together with experts in your field and have the opportunity to continuously develop professionally.

Your area of responsibility

• Support bank reconciliation for all entities: alongside our senior and mid-level accountants, you manage DACH’s daily banking, cash reconciliation and reporting.
• Be a first point of contact for supplier Management: maintain and onboard supplier site data within our accounting system.
• Support during month end, quarterly and year-end closes: from Day 1, you will be responsible for supporting asset accounting, maintaining our Trial Balance Reports and working with Marketing to keep our B2B accounting squeaky clean. As you grow in your role, you will support our Controllers and Accountants with bookings across the P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Support expansion of the DACH Finance Wiki: in 2022, the DACH accounting team is focusing time and energy in developing a top-notch documentation centre in Confluence. You will support as needed and add knowledge of your own!

Your profile

• Actively enrolled and studying Business Administration / Accounting / Controlling or similar qualification (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter), ideally at Master’s level
• You have a basic understanding of accounting and corporate finance
• You are precise, detail oriented and strive for high quality outputs
• You are ready to take responsibility and learn in a fast-paced environment
• You understand accounting is deadline oriented, and this doesn’t bother you
• You place a high value on learning
• You are comfortable working in Excel
• First experience in an accounting role is a definite plus
• You are available for at least one year
• You are 100% comfortable working exclusively in English if needed and ideally speak solid German
