Responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts and performing other accounting related activities. Solve accounting problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of finance and economics; understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of general accounting or other relevant experience in high-volume transaction environment
- Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Ability to analyze complex financial information
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a changing environment
- Self-motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
