Role Purpose:Role holder as Accountant / Internal Control Lead serves many roles including all aspects of the Accounting Function, Internal Control and Audit responsibilities.1.��Key Accountabilities:-Manage and oversee the entire accounting team-Conduct all necessary trainings to keep the team���s skills and knowledge up to date��See that tax interviews are conducted properly with clientsEnsure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled��-Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy-Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers��-Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively��-Maintain compliance with all regulations at all times��-Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm��-Maintain highly organized and updated client files��-Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals��-Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.����-Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.����-Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.��-Generate reports and statements to Managers for review.����-Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.����-Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.����-Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.����-Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.��-Monitor and record transactions according to company policies and regulations.��-Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.��2.��������������Reporting:��������������Direct Management and CFO��3.��������������Job Communication:��������������Management, Managers and Employees4.��������������Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge:��������Higher education diploma with a specialization in Accountancy/Taxation��������������The function requires previous experience in accounting and finance department.��5.������������Skills and Competencies:����������Teamwork��/ soft skills����������Prioritizing and priority mapping.������Developing team potential��������Efficiency / performance focus�� Communicational skills / people management����������Business awareness skillsLegrand is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate against employees or job applicants based on race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, or physical disability, veteran or family status, or any other status or condition protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws, except where a bona fide occupational qualification applies.��This policy extends to all aspects of the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, recruiting, interviewing, job assignments, training, compensation, benefits, discipline, use of facilities, participation in Legrand-sponsored activities, termination, and all other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
