SDI services are covering northern Syria areas through its programs which are SNFIs, health, nutrition, education, WASH, protection, FSL, and CCCM. Currently looking for a qualified Accountant.

Job Details:

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accountant. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our organization’s financial transactions and records, including account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Record various financial transactions such as bills, invoices, budgets, cash transactions, and payroll data into our accounting software, Phenix.
Manage expense accounts and create journal entries to allocate expenses correctly to departments, projects, and accounts.
Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, project budgets, and donor financial reports.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and conduct cash counts regularly.
Prepare, maintain, and generate reports from the general ledger to review accounts on a monthly basis, facilitating the monthly closing process.
Collaborate with different departments within the organization to verify and audit their financial data.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
One to three years of progressive and relevant accounting experience.
Preferably, at least one year of professional experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in NGOs.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Arabic.
Proficiency in English & Turkish is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel or similar software.

To the end of meeting with the fundamental values of SDI, this policy is designed to address the behavior of SDI staff, and its collaborators toward the served population and to protect vulnerable populations within the communities served by SDI from any acts of sexual exploitation and abuse which is considered as an element of the accountability that SDI holds towards the served communities.

To the end of meeting with the fundamental values of SDI, this policy is designed to address the behavior of SDI staff and its collaborators towards one another and to protect staff within the environment of SDI from any acts of sexual harassment and harassment which is considered as an element of the accountability that SDI holds towards its staff.

· The position holder is required to commit to SDI’s safeguarding policy, as we will do rigorous background checks to ensure that children are protected from any kind of abuse.

· The position holder is also required to carry out his duties in accordance with SDI anti-harassment policy.
