Accountant

CMA are currently partnering with a small accountancy practice based in West Dorset looking for an Accountant to join them in a client facing position.

This practice are looking to bring on-board an experienced accountant who is ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified or Qualified by experience. For the right candidate there is significant progression on offer with the opportunity to work towards a practicing certificate and long term directorship / partnership.

What Will The Role Involve

• Preparing end of year financial statements for a wide range of businesses including limited companies, sole traders, LLPs and partnerships.
• Preparing and submitting a company’s corporation tax returns.
• Assisting with clients’ personal tax affairs including the preparation and submission of their income tax returns.
• Advising clients about a broad range of taxes including income & corporation tax, VAT, capital gains tax and PAYE / CIS.
• Completing ad-hoc tasks including preparing and submitting VAT returns, CIS returns and company secretarial.
• Dealing with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Keeping on top of administrative tasks both personal and office based.
• Regular client due diligence reviews for money laundering regulations.

Suitable Candidate

• At least 3 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
• ACA / ACCA / AAT Qualified or QBE.
• Demonstrable experience preparing accounts.
• Tax experience both with corporate and personal tax.
• Experience in a client facing position.
