Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a business in Sherborne, Dorset, for a newly created Accountant role on a permanent basis. Working within a busy finance function, the successful candidate can expect excellent benefits including extended holiday allowance, high pension allowance and private medical cover.

What will the role involve?

• Preparation of budgets including analysis of actuals vs budget with full commentary;
• Management accounts preparation in a timely and accurate manner;
• Production of statutory accounts with supporting year-end file;
• Quarterly forecasting including analysis of actuals;
• Assist in ad hoc project work where necessary.

Suitable Candidate

• Previous experience working at a similar seniority, ideally with previous practice experience;
• Excellent IT skills including strong working knowledge of Excel and Sage;
• Working knowledge of investment reporting is highly advantageous;
• An ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification is beneficial although not essential.
