QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Accounting/Commerce, Membership with professional bodies such as CPA(US/UK/Australia) will be added advantage
- 3-5 Years’ of Experience in Oil & Gas industry in similar position
- Experience in Well Services industry will be added advantage
- Fluent in English (verbal & written)
- Strong systems skills, including Microsoft Office Applications, ERP and computerised Accounting systems
- Strong experience in computerisation of accounts, filing periodic tax returns, related payments
- Must have a solid understanding of local and International tax legislation including personal, corporate and contributory filing and well as Intercompany transactions
DUTIES / TASKS
- Prepare & maintain all bookkeeping functions including but not limited to Revenues, Commissions, Expenses, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Banking, Assets & Depreciation, Provisions and Accruals.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately on a Monthly basis, based on accrual and reported by Business line, Business Area and Legal Unit (Casing, Rental, and Well-Intervention).
- Analyse and reconcile all balance sheets accounts, including but not limited to AP/AR, Intercompany, Banks, Deposits, Asset & Depreciation schedules.
- Assist in customer invoicing, submission and follow-up on collections.
- Accurate coding and recording of revenue & expenses to respective business line, Business Area, legal Unit, project order and month it relates to.
- Allocation of Local and regional Common cost to each business line, Business Area, legal Unit based on preapproved percentage.
- Prepare all Monthly & Yearly financial statement per business line, Business Area, legal Unit and completed in accordance with closing schedule.
- Ensure compliance to all required internal & external audits, cost reporting and tax filings & returns.
- Active participation and preparation of annual fiscal budget process, projections/prognosis throughout fiscal year; analysing actuals results with budget/prognosis on a monthly basis and report on variances.
- Actively coordinate with corporate banks/auditors/lawyers/tax consultants, etc.
- Take a lead to manage all payable functions, handling accounting issues and answering accounting questions to local and regional management.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen the internal controls.
- Make and follow up goals, action plans and strategy for the department.
- Budget and result responsibility, hereunder to comment and follow up the accounts and finance.
- Report cost, progress and deviation in projects and daily operations.
- Maintain and develop good relations and good service towards our customers and suppliers.
- Contribute to cooperation/experience transfer between the different environments and departments within OWS.
- Follow rules and procedures, react and report incidents, dangerous behavior and dangerous situations.
- Continuously improve and update procedures and routines for the department. Implement and follow up actions to ensure high quality in our services and deliveries.
