Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:

The Account Manager has to manage and control all activities into and within his accounts for a specific customer. The primary objective is to maximize business opportunities and to ensure that TE Connectivity is in prime position to grow and develop sales profitability.

  • Responsible for complete Sales cycle, including profitable sales growth, development of new business opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for preparation of financial justifications and presentation, quotations and negotiations of specific projects as well as pricing of existing business with special focus of profitability and contracting with assigned customers.
  • Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements.
  • Where applicable, lead and guide customer focus teams; especially manage the team of dotted line reports via goal setting and identify needs for support, training and coaching.
  • Has a specialist depth of knowledge in TE products and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous account management experience
  • Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Profile:

  • Typically, B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering or equivalent education
  • 4 to 6 years experience in Sales assignments , preferably Automotive Business
  • Knowledge of trends / competition / technology that will influence products and sales
  • Strong problem solving, and tactical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English adn French both written and spoken
  • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to travel 50%-75%
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
