A HEALTH NUTRITION AND SURVEILLANCE COORDINATOR – BANGLADESH

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, your main responsibility will be to define the strategies and coordinate activities of Action Against Hunger in the fields of Health, Nutrition, and Surveillance in Bangladesh, represent ACF Bangladesh in internal and external forums, and work in close collaboration with other departments for an integrated approach.
More precisely, your responsibilities will be to:
– Design, develop, and evaluate actions in the field of Health, Nutrition and Surveillance
– Monitor and coordinate programs in the fields of Health and Nutrition
– Manage the Health, Nutrition and surveillance team in capital if any and support and technically the Health, Nutrition and surveillance Program Managers in other offices
– Develop and launch programmes in collaboration with governmental as well as existing and new partner agencies
– Support coordination efforts at national level; Provide Technical Support and Lead the Nutrition Sector Assessment and Information Management Technical Working Group (AIM-TWG)
– Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity

REQUESTED PROFILE

You hold a Master degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nutrition, or Nursing, with at least 5 years of professional experiences with NGOs, and 3 years in a similar role in Nutrition & Health.
You are recognized for your technical expertise in nutrition & health programming, and have a consolidated experience in project cycle management, strategy development, monitoring and evaluation, and assessment/diagnosis of vulnerabilities with a gender and protection approach. More specifically you worked on programmes with a focus on child and women health, nutrition surveys, surveillance (SMART, SENS, SQUEAC, SLEAC), and CMAM programmes.
A good knowledge in sexual and reproductive health and rights programming and epidemiology will be an asset.
You have a strong ability to provide technical support in project proposal and strong skills in management and staff capacity building.
Excellent diplomacy, negotiation and representation skills (nutrition & health cluster mechanisms) are required.
Your are fluent in English.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

International Conditions:
– 12 months fixed term contract under French legislation
– Monthly gross salary from 2450 to 2800EUR upon experience
– Monthly per diem and living allowance: 603EUR net, field paid
– Monthly country allowance: 150EUR
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year)
– 16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
– Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
– Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (social security + health insurance) and repatriation insurance
– Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR at each RnR period

National Conditions:
– Gross monthly salary BDT 187K
– Festival bonus: 2 basic salaries per year
– Provident Funds: 7.5% of basic salary
