RESPONSIBILITIES

As Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Coordinator, your role is to ensure the quality, relevance and technical innovation of the FSL strategy and interventions on the mission. You will also contribute to the definition of the country strategy while coordinating the identification of needs and the formulation of project proposals. You will also support the FSL Programme Managers in the implementation of these projects and represent the association in national and international bodies relating to your sector.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
– Coordinating the identification of needs and formulation of project proposals
– Technically overseeing the implementation of programmes / projects ensuring quality of all FSL interventions
– Ensuring the active participation of Action Against Hunger in national sectoral coordination and technical forums and develop sectoral partnerships
– Promoting capturing and use of learning, technical development, and research within the FSL Department

REQUESTED PROFILE

You hold a master’s degree in food security, agricultural education and extension, agricultural, applied economics, agrobusiness management, food policy and applied food science, veterinary sciences, or related courses.You have an experience of minimum 5 years in a similar position (FSL HoD/ Technical Advisor/Technical coordinator), working with INGOs.
You have previous experience in a similar role with good experience in areas of technical focus: graduation approach, value chain development, private sector.
You demonstrate good skills in communication and representation, you proven proposal writing and program development capcity.
You are able to bring strong organization skills, you also have attention to detail, positive and resilient attitude.
We have a preference for someone who has worked in the Middle East.

– 9 months fixed term contract under French legislation
