RESPONSIBILITIES

As Field Coordinator in Hodeida, you will be supervising 2 Field Managers (1 FSL/WASH/RRM and 1 Nutition&Health), 1 MEAL manager, 1 Security Manager, 1 Logistics Manager, 1 Finance Manager and 1 HR Manager. You will ensure leadership and strategic oversight of programs and support functions (Finance, HR and Logistics); while coordinating mission’s internal risk control (including security). More specifically, you will:
1. Ensure the smooth implementation of AAH country strategy at field level
2. Lead and coordinate the overall program implementation at field level
3. Manage and support the team based in Hodeida in their daily activities
4. Encourage and foster smooth communication and easy interactions with the coordination team
5. Represent AAH and liaise with diverse types of external stakeholders such as regional authorities, UN, NGOs at field and regional level
6. Take the ownership of reporting and communication
7. Ensure the overall security and safety on the base

REQUESTED PROFILE

– You hold a Master degree in international relations, humanitarian and development studies, or similar field.
– You have previous experiences in Field Management / Coordination
– You have experience in emergency and insecure contexts and cultural restricted countries
– You have a significant experience and skills managing a team (supervision, delegation, motivation, capacity building, conflict management)
– You have an extensive knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian coordination mechanism
– You demonstrate strong resilience working in tough, highly insecure and isolated contexts
– You have outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong cultural awareness
– You are organised, able to set priorities you demonstrate autonomy, decision making
– You have a demonstrated experience and/or personal commitment to promoting gender equity and equality
– You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset
– You have good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and technical programs)

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

Contract:
– 6 months fixed term contract under French legislation
Remuneration and benefits:
– Monthly gross salary from 2400 to 2800 EUR upon experience
– Per diem and living allowance: 728 $ (cf eurocost) net, field paid.
– + 450EUR as country allowance
– + 16% of monthly gross. For non-French citizen for retrocession of retirement and unemployment insurance.
– + child allowance
Medical coverage:
– 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Leaves and RnR:
– 25 days of paid leaves
-+ 20 RnR per year.
-+ 215 EUR at each RnR period (every 6 weeks).
