RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will lead Action Against Hunger program development, implementation and strategy in Jordan.
More precisely, you will:
– Develop the strategy of programs in Jordan, promote its innovation and technical approaches, lead the team in the elaboration of joint strategies WASH/FSL/MHPSS and for key cross cutting areas including partnership, MEAL, and gender.
– Program development and quality: supervise the design and implementation of needs assessments, monitoring and evaluation, verify that proper monitoring, evaluation and accountability systems are in place to demonstrate impact of programs, drive knowledge sharing and technical exchange of ACF standards.
– Development and implementation of partnership strategy: promote the regular identification of national and local partners and strong stakeholder engagement, lead the development of strategic partnerships for existing projects and cultivating new partnerships for potential new projects.
– Supervise program departments: promote strong engagement between technical team and implementation team, supervise and lead on capacity building for technical program leads and ensure technical support is appropriately leveraged to implementation teams, provide appropriate delegation of responsibility for the program departments.
– External Representation – Advocacy & Networking: ensure that ACF is properly represented at all relevant sector meetings, interact regularly with donors / local authorities and NGO community to ensure awareness of ACF programs, Build and sustain effective close working partnerships with relevant counterparts, lead in the development of communications and visibility strategies.
– Ensure adherence to ACF gender requirements: commit and comply with the organization gender / age and diversity principles & policies, lead on the promotion of gender / age and diversity principles through daily activities, management of the teams, planning and implementation of operations and strategies.

REQUESTED PROFILE

You have a degree in development, international affairs, public health, economics or similar fields.
You have at least 6 years of management experience, program development, and significant experience with INGOs. An experience as a DCD would be appreciated.
You preferably also have an experience in program quality and in development-orientated programs.
You have excellent management skills, especially of large-scale programme.
You have excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills.
You are fluent in spoken and written English. Notions or fluency in arabic would be an asset.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY

This position is opened for international and Jordanian candidates.
International package
– Fixed term contract under French or Jordan legislation: 9 months
– CompensationGross monthly salary from EUR2,899 to EUR3,376 depending on experience.+ 16% of gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French residents.+ Monthly per diem and living expenses: 770$ net paid in the field.+ Monthly country allowance: 150EUR.+ Children’s allowance: EUR1,500 per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum EUR6,000/year).+ Family status:- ACF covers 80% of childcare/schooling costs up to a maximum of 3500EUR per year per child in the country of mission.- Payment of living expenses for the employee + all accompanying persons.
– Travel and accommodation: travel and accommodation expenses coveredFamily status: individual transport and accommodation paid for the whole family
– Medical cover: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance.
– Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year, airfare reimbursement with a ceiling to get to the chosen break destination, and 215 EUR for each RnR period
