Mission :

As a member of the Afghanistan Mission Senior Management Team (SMT) and Country Leadership Team (CLT), you will lead on the strategic direction and coordination of the humanitarian response and basic needs services in post-crisis and post-conflict areas of operations in Afghanistan and will be accountable for ensuring that the response is effective and efficient.
You will support the Country Director in the implementation of ACF programs in Afghanistan. You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of ACF programs by the field through the supervision of the Field/area Coordinators and Program/Project Coordinators/Managers.
You will also be responsible for actively participating in the operational management of the mission, in close collaboration with the Country Director and the SMT.
You will manage a multidisciplinary team of senior staff composed of Area/Field Coordinator and Program Managers.
You will provide on job capacity development for operational teams in the field in strengthening their resource planning, work plans, implementation as per the technical SOPs to local context and adaptation to local context and changes, negotiation skills with stakeholders, community and social mobilization and accountability mechanisms to the programme /project participants (beneficiaries) and relationships with stakeholders in the operational provinces

Profile :

You have a Master’s degree in International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, Political or Social Science, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
You have at least 5 years of work experience preferably in humanitarian or development work with at least 3 years of experience in management.
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field leading humanitarian and/or preparedness programs.
You have a knowledge and experiences of emergency and development issues; deep understanding of causes of emergencies, emergency programming and links policywith
A relevant experience working in Afghanistan or other post-conflict countries undergoing transition is highly desired.
You have proven program & project cycle management skills – proposal and report writing skills; monitoring and evaluation skills and experience.
You have excellent interpersonal co-ordination and negotiation skills.
