Purpose of the Consultancy

World Vision in Akkar is willing to promote gender equality by building and strengthening the capacity of the team to better mainstream gender in all sectors of intervention and programming at every stage of the program cycle. At the organizational level, this should result in meaningful gender integration in programmatic design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation that will take gender considerations into account and that will aim to compensate for gender-based inequalities. WVL aims at developing gender-responsive programming, where gender mainstreaming will shift from addressing the needs of different groups equitably to transforming gender relations in families and communities.

1. Purpose and Objectives

Purpose:

WVL is increasingly incorporating gender mainstreaming strategies into its programmes. The purpose of this assignment is to strengthen and increase the capacities of WVL’s staff to better integrate gender into interventions and programming from the design phase to the evaluation phase. **

Objectives:

· Strengthen WVL team’s capacity on how to recognize a high-quality gender analysis, and how to use it in program design and evaluation

· Build the team’s capacity on how to integrate gender into project design and evaluations

· Provide capacity building for WVL’s team on how to integrate gender into data analysis and reporting

2. Location, activities and timeline

The location training is planned to be virtual on Zoom.

Introduction session with WVL team on the main objectives

Session with WVL team to work on the content

Conduct training on

Gender Transformative Program Design and Evaluation

The time allocated for this consultancy is 2 to 4 days within the period of May 2022

3. Outcomes

The anticipated outcomes include:

· Improved knowledge and capacity on gender analysis and integration in programme designs

· Improved WVL’s ability to integrate gender into project designs and evaluations

· Improved WVL’s ability to integrate gender into data analysis and reporting

4. Deliverables

· Capacity building training on Gender Transformative Program Design and Evaluation

· Training tools and materials.

5. Profile of the consultant

· Strong knowledge of issues concerning women’s rights, gender equality, women’s empowerment and Gender Responsive programming

· Advanced experience in building capacity on gender transformative program design and evaluation Especially with NGO and INGO.

· Proven experience in Gender MEAL

· Excellent Communication and facilitation skills

Payments will be made via fresh money transfer.

The Supplier needs to bear the cross-border transfer charges for an approximate amount of $45 for any sum below $10,000 and $95 for any sum above $10,000 which will be deducted directly from each transfer.

The Cross-border fees may vary depending on the Bank policies and restrictions.

Please note that the supplier that are technically qualified will be subject to price negotiations.
