As a member of the Software Services business unit, a high-growth, incubator business backed by the financial strength of Zebra Technologies, you will be instrumental to help create new breakthrough products. Our team is working on ensuring the security and performance of Zebra’s software tools meets and exceeds the industry level requirements.
Responsibilities
- The candidate should be self-motivated and drive through rapidly changing requirements typically found in innovative business units.
- Work in a cross functional, Agile Development team
- Develop Performance Test Scripts, Test Execution Plans and Monitoring Agent solutions for Unix and Windows Based Systems.
- Deploy and Test a centralized monitoring system for a distributed environment.
- Deploy and rollout a centralized log shipping system for a distributed Linux/Java based environment.
- Work with the performance and security testing team on various tasks and get to know how the roles help ensure system stability and security.
- The candidate will have a sound working knowledge of Unix, Java, NoSQL, SQL and other tools.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program (MS/MA) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems
- Must have an anticipated graduation date between May, 2023 – May, 2024
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge or coursework in Java 8+
- Working knowledge of Javascript.
- Knowledge of NoSQL systems like MongoDB
- Working knowledge of Unix/RHEL Based systems.
- A desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Load Testing Tools such as Apache JMeter.
- Working knowledge or course work in web application security and OWASP
- System administration knowledge for RHEL
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
- Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

Salary USD 19.00 – USD 42.50 Hourly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
