Employee Benefits, Technology Strategy Team

The intern’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Participate on a team that serves as a Level 2 production support with escalations from Customer Service, Distribution, and other internal teams such as Implementation and Underwriting teams.
  • Understand the systems utilized, interfaces and dependencies of each system on the Employee Benefits platform.
  • Work on variety of small projects involving data entry, backlog cleanups and real time requests from ticket queue.
  • Use critical thinking skills to determine root cause of issue and provide a resolution plan or escalation to IT partner teams.
  • Participate in working sessions with IT partner teams and/or system subject matter experts (SME)
  • Contribute to resolution by providing thoughtful and innovate ideas
  • Provide status updates in a timely manner when requested or proactively
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings as requested

Internship Dates: June 5, 2023 through August 11, 2023

Locations: Syracuse, NY (Remote or Flexible)

The base salary range for this position is $22/hour.

  • Working toward a BS in Information Systems/Management, Business Analysis, or related field
  • Completion of Junior year in Spring 2023, Entering Senior year and in Fall 2023
  • Experience with Microsoft product suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Experience completing a basic SQL class
  • Experience completing a Project Management class with focus on Agile methodologies
  • Possess a high level of productivity, reliability, proactiveness, attendance and attention to detail
