General Responsibilities

As a Location Manager Trainee (LMT) you will be given the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Hertz rental business model and how to effectively manage and grow a successful business.

As a LMT you will learn the day-to-day aspects of the rental car business while you develop superior management, leadership and customer service skills including how to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers. You’ll learn proper sales strategies / techniques for all of Hertz products and services while honing your problem solving and continuous improvement skills. Additionally, you will get a chance to learn the critical aspects of fleet management including how to effectively manage the fleet to achieve the greatest revenue and profitability.

Essential Requirements

To be a Great LMT you need:

  • Commitment to developing and learning a wide variety of skills so that you can advance through the management levels
  • A desire to grow with Hertz including a willingness to live and work in a number of different cities throughout Canada
  • A deep desire to work with and lead others as a team to build a business that is both fast paced and continually improving
  • An ability to learn all aspects of the rental car business from Customer Experience, Sales, Fleet Management, Maintenance, Vehicle Service, Vehicle Replenishment and Financial Analysis
  • An ability to remain level headed and calm with both customers and employees as you assist them through challenging situations
  • An ability to be a Hertz Brand Ambassador at all times as you seek to create a positive environment and solutions that generate continued customer and employee loyalty

Skills Needed To Be a LMT

  • Strong management, communications, customer service, problem solving, and sales skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong planning and logistical skills
  • A four-year degree is preferred for this role
