The OBI team handles backend billing of all subscriptions, In addition OBI has an extensive syndication platform as well. OBI bills in the excess of 500 million dollars and supports a number of applications, front ends , backends, data warehousing and mobile apps
The Backend Engineering Intern will use AWS resources and backend technologies like Java , Spring boot and its frameworks to build web services.
The perfect candidate has good interpersonal skills and is a very driven individual with a desire to learn. Also, the candidate must have the ability to figure things out with minimal guidance
Responsibilities:
- Work with client engineering teams to help them integrate with our platform
- Work on Backend Spring-boot based web service API’s for multiple micro services
- Design develop API for backend services
- Manage database changes, stored procedures on Oracle, Mysql
- Develop unit tests using Mock frameworks like Mockito, JMock and EasyMock
- Write JMeter and Selenium tests for web services and the Web pages test automation.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Basic working knowledge of Java, SpringBoot, Junit, CentOS, Tomcat. The candidate will also need to have basic database (Oracle, MySQL) skills.
- Keen interest to learn and an excellent work ethic.
- Knowledge working on unix based systems Linux (CentOS or Red Hat)
- Knowledge of Application Servers ( apache tomcat ) is a Plus
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments in a Plus.
- QA automation (JMeter, Selenium) is good to have.

The compensation for this position ranges from $45,760.00 – $135,200.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
