2023 Summer Intern Program (IT Risk and Controls Management)

Under the direction of the Manager, the Student Intern performs the general duties as assigned by the sponsoring business unit/department and participates in a structured learning program covering Bank of Hawaii’s organization, culture, and philosophy to enhance their business knowledge and advance their personal and professional development. If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Within IT Risk and Controls Management at Bank of Hawaiʻi, we blend risk strategy, IT Governance, cyber defense, application security and technology solutions as we consider the entire security lifecycle. You will join a team of hardworking, security-focused individuals dedicated to supporting, protecting and enabling the business through innovative, secure solutions that provide business value. The IRCM function create and maintains the Bank’s risk management framework, processes, tooling and strategy. The primary objective within our team is to build a risk-aware culture, reduce IT risk, and protect the Bank’s data.
