- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, drug and alcohol addiction or education AND 2 years or more experience as a SAP Liaison or in the behavioral health field
- Excellent communication and computer skills

- Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required

DEPARTMENT: Student Assistance Program (SAP)
POSITION: SAP Liaison
STATUS: FullTime
SCHEDULE: Daylight Hours; Monday through Friday. This position is 44 weeks/10 months. Salary paid over 12 months.
LOCATIONS: Allegheny County School District as assigned and Remote
SALARY: $35,000 / year
Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny County. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Psychological Evaluations, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. ACI has earned certification from the Council On Accreditation.
The SAP Liaison will act as a consultant within the assigned school district(s) and SAP Core Team to coordinate recommended services to students. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Completion of all required Student Assistance program training
- Attending SAP Core Team meetings, as scheduled, at least twice per month
- Administering the SAP Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) screening
- Implementing and guiding the development of the Student Plan that provides interventions and strategies to remove learning barriers and promotes student academic and personal success
- Putting the Student Plan in action by linking student to appropriate services, treatment providers or community resources and monitoring follow through of the plan
- Being flexible and responsive to the needs of the school and students
- Educating the family around mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues and assist in accessing appropriate services. Support and empower the family in decision making for their child
- Collecting, reporting, and maintaining data for required reporting
- Co-facilitating SAP groups for students related to behavioral health
SALARY
- $35,000 / Year
