We are seeking a Tech Audit Management working student who would like to immerse themselves in the world of Information Risk Management Segment at N26. As we at N26 strive to evolve our product offerings and increase our service coverage, our IT environment evolves with it. With these changes, it is important that we are on top of the information security risks it brings by identifying and remediating these risks. An integral part of this is performing internal and external audits that measure the progress we have made in our compliance journey. We would like someone who wants to be part of this journey as we navigate the IT regulations in Germany and our other international markets. You will be working as part of the Information Risk Management (IRM) team to ensure that the entire N26 Group operates in a secure and compliant manner.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop a deep understanding of where we are in our ever-maturing world of IT compliance along with our key successes and challenges
- Support the coordination of the various internal and external IT audits that happen throughout the year. This will include tasks such as planning for upcoming audits, supporting the execution of audits by actively scheduling meetings between stakeholders, mediating discussions within an audit, proactively tracking the status of requests and providing timely and transparent escalations of challenges in audits, as well as coordination of any potential findings to the relevant stakeholders
- Get a working knowledge of all the banking regulations with respect to IT in the German market as well as our other international markets
- Manage upward and downward stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Build a thorough understanding of our IT risks, controls and processes to have constructive conversations with various teams within our Tech org and basic conversations with stakeholders outside IT
- Be one of the central points of contact between internal stakeholders and auditors
- Help develop this function into mature processes that manage multiple audits in an efficient manner
Background
What you need to be successful:
- Willingness to grow within the team and develop professionally
- Basic understanding of Information Technologies (IT), as well as IT Governance frameworks, methodologies and related processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly with peers, as well as stakeholders of all levels from the partner companies.
- Enthusiasm to work hands-on with cross-functional teams, business operations analysts, security engineers, software engineers, product managers, data analysts, IT audit functions, among other relevant stakeholders, in coordinating audit activities.
- Basic understanding of the banking sector, especially understanding of BaIT and MaRisk requirements.
- Fluency in English is strictly required. German language knowledge is a plus.
