Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
- As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of accomplished and bright architects and consultants who deliver VMware technology for VMware customers. You will also work together with your peers in the PSO Leadership Team and across VMware to continuously improve our delivery methodology, our services portfolio, and Go-To-Market strategy for Services.
- You will forge close relationships with your Sales counterparts to ensure that PSO is accelerating the adoption of VMware solutions by our customers.
- You will be aligned with cross segment covering all customers where you will be accountable to PSO revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- During your first month, you will work with several peers and your manager to gain insight and experience about how the business runs, our tools, metrics, and business priorities. Also, your manager will help you gain access to other important internal stakeholders to help you establish your network of contacts across different VMware business units to make you successful as a VMware Leader.
- Within your first three months, you will be expected to have a good grasp of the business and start to make an impact on the professional development of your team members, as well as increasing the impact of our services on our customers through quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Starting on your fourth month, your will take full ownership of business outcomes, continue to develop your own leadership skills, and continuously expand your sphere of influence.

- You will participate in revenue and sales forecasting, identify trends and opportunities to increase services sales on our customers, and work together with sales teams to ensure that a proper services’ offering is attached to product sales. Influencing sales, although not your primary responsibility, is a relevant part of your job.
- You will periodically report the state of your business segment to senior leadership, as well as manage the success of projects. When projects are off-track, you will partner with project managers and consultants to formulate plans to bring projects back a healthy state.
- You will gather information from the field teams, aggregate data, and provide senior leadership with insights that will help improve the overall efficiency of Professional Services.

You will be joining the team led by Jongnam Oh, Director of Professional Services. He has been with VMware for more than 7 years and he is known to have his team’s career development as his number one priority. He has built a team culture where people support one another and are free to represent themselves in the way they feel the most comfortable. His direct team currently has 22 people and it collaborates closely with other teams.
