We’re looking for a Business Analyst with a strong technical background to join our Digital Technology and Futures Department. We are embarking on a wide range of technical projects, to improve the quality of our services for our supporters, volunteers and staff.

Your Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Support project stakeholders and teams to influence, develop and deliver technology change within the organisation
  • Working across the RNLI at all levels, gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements which will be used to help define the scope and deliverables
  • Identify, analyse, and respond to project risks, pre-empting potential issues and in some cases challenging the design and development community in order to work towards solutions
  • Utilise business analysis tools and techniques including workshop facilitation, process and data mapping and requirements elicitation and documentation
  • Strong communication skills to build good relationships with our key stakeholders and customers

About You

To be considered as our new Business Analyst you will need to be able to:

  • Experience in writing technical documentation
  • Use cases and test script writing
  • Good end to end requirements managing experience
  • Highly self-motivated with good problem-solving skills and flexible approach
  • Strong experience as business analyst working on technical projects and implementations
  • Good Level of MS Office knowledge
  • Logical and analytical thinker that can quickly evaluate information and identify key issues
  • Proven ability to make decisions effectively
  • Team player who is able to work independently
  • Input into continuous improvement initiatives to improve the maturity of the BA team at the RNLI
