The DuPont Electronics & Industrial business is seeking a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Specialist in Seoul, Korea.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Understand, communicate and implement corporate/business product stewardship & regulatory standards, polices, and systems to ensure chemical regulatory compliance and internal product risk management
  • Understand, interpret and communicate the applicable chemical regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders such as commercial team, customer service team and sourcing & logistic team, etc.
  • Analyze the chemical regulatory impacts, prepare and execute mitigation plan, and enforce the necessary regulatory control
  • Coordinate to hazcom team to ensure all the regulatory reports (such as SDS/Label) generated in compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Follow the business/corporate process to introduce new product or R&D sample to support business growth
  • Lead the product and/or chemical registration or notification according to the regulatory requirements (such as Korea REACH) in Korea
  • Handle different customer inquiries according to the regulatory requirements or specific customer B&R specification
  • Coordinate with internal regulatory stakeholders to update all the chemical or product registration or notification status to ensure product data integrity in corporate chemical management system
  • Maintain all the internal regulatory management records, certificates/permits for product/chemical registration/notification to support both internal and external regulatory audits

Qualifications

Expected background/knowledge

  • Chemistry, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, polymer or material science or relevant majors.
  • Expert knowledge of Korea chemical management regulations. (e.g. K-REACH, Chemical Control Act, Industrial Safety and Health Act, Act on the Safety Control of Hazardous Substance etc.)
  • > 5 years product stewardship & regulatory experience in chemical industry.

  • Capability of communicating with regional and global PS&R resources.

  • A good team player who can work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Functional Competency

  • Good Knowledge of chemical inventory management systems, and regulatory requirements on different type of notifications.
  • Good Knowledge of regulatory requirements on different prohibitions and restrictions for industry chemicals.
  • Good Knowledge of GHS and regulatory requirements on SDS and Label preparation and submission to the authority, CBI application.
  • Hands-on experience of chemical or product registration/notification in different applicable area.
  • Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff System and hands-on experience to provide customs declaration elements for goods clearance.
  • Familiar with SAP EH&S system to access product composition, chemical inventory status.
  • Familiar with different tools for Chemical Inventory, B&R status, and toxicology information verification
