You can’t wait to make this happen by showing off your talents during an internship as an Investment Consultant at Van Lanschot Kempen. During your internship, you’ll become familiar with various aspects of Wealth and Asset Management, including the structure of investment portfolios, our macroeconomic vision and how the assets of very wealthy individuals are structured. You will also handle various complex (client) issues. You’ll receive intensive guidance and support and you’ll set goals to help you get the most out of your internship.
Your work also includes:
- preparing client presentations.
- collecting and analyzing (investment) data.
- assessing current macroeconomic conditions.
- assisting relationship managers and bankers with their day-to-day activities.
Your talents
Analytical, focused and a strong communicator; this is how we can best describe you during this internship as an Investment Consultant. Skills you use every day to help our customers navigate a constantly changing world. You think outside the box and ask all the right questions. And that’s good news if you’re also interested in the individual (you are client-centred) and can resolve complex issues in accordance with the client’s wishes. You also have:
- a bachelor’s (or you are currently studying in at least the 3rd year) in a commercial, economic or financial field.
- an affinity with investment, you follow macroeconomic trends and you have a commercial mindset.
- the ability to work effectively with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- good planning and organising skills.
- a good command of Dutch.

The team you will join consists of two experienced specialists and a junior specialist (Investment Consultants) and works closely with the investment and research specialists at Kempen. The team is responsible for sharing specific investment expertise within the organisation and with clients and prospects. To do so, the team co-ordinates the (investment-related) preparations for visits and pitches and plays a specialist role in discussions. This frequently involves discussing specific client questions, portfolio analyses, current investment policy and our investment vision. The team also works closely with the Asset Managers, Special Product Specialists and the research team at Kempen.
