Position Summary

This is a general posting for Engineering intern and co-op positions. Please note that each location and specific position will have different responsibilities and qualifications.

Supports technical work related to engineering activities. Serves as a liaison and coordinates engineering activities from concept through production testing. Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Researches, recommends, and implements or improves new and/or existing products processes, materials, technologies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Work is focused on daily work flow requirements which involve detailed engineering assignments. Guidance is provided either by instruction received on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions; or in the form of independently evaluating, selecting, and applying established and well defined engineering techniques, procedures, policies or systems.

  • Assist with engineering programs and organizes project staff according to project requirements
  • Assist in or leads aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing
  • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Assist with the integration of technical activities and products
  • Assist with sample builds
  • Assist with workflow requirements that involve detailed engineering assignments including calculations and relatively standard tests
  • Provide operations with tools and technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production
  • Monitors and controls objectives and costs of assigned project and establishes program time lines
  • Selects, designs, installs, and modifies equipment and fixtures for new product launches and existing products

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently attending a College or University working on a 4 year degree in a field of Engineering
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology
