The WPP team is looking to add some Tax interns.

What you’ll be doing:

• Entry level tax/accounting responsibilities including preparation of basic federal and state income tax returns, tax analysis, special tax projects, etc.
• Candidate will act in a support role to full-time staff to assist with day-to-day tax projects. Will gain experience in accounting and tax systems, compliance & provision software, organizational structure charts, mergers & acquisitions, responding to tax notices and correspondence from tax authorities.
• Position includes a minimum of 18-20 working hours per week in the academic year and full-time when school is not in session.
• Position involves specialized training and career development and is therefore not intended to be short-term.
• Internships with WPP Tax frequently lead to successful placement within Big 4 Accounting Firms, Investment Banks, and other high quality firms.
• Paid internship is located in the WPP Tax Department based in NYC and will require in-person reporting.

What you’ll need:

• Strong written / verbal skills and advanced excel skills a must.
• Ideal for Accounting majors, particularly those with a strong interest in Taxation.

In New York City, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting is $20.00 an hour. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
