World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) seeks a talented and committed Field Specialist, Financial Operations Lead, to provide a broad range of operations, finance, and accounting support during emergency relief activations while based in Ukraine. As the finance liaison to the relief operations team, the successful candidate must possess a high level of reliability, precision, and attention to detail, thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment, and demonstrate very high ethical standards.
This role will report to the Activation Lead (on site) and Director of Finance (remotely) and collaborate closely with other finance and relief team members. This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the demonstrated ability to deliver critical support to the finance and relief teams under field conditions, and the demonstrated ability to be effective both independently and as part of a team. This position is not intended to be permanent, is based in Ukraine, and requires significant regional travel and regular international travel.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate accurate and timely invoicing and disbursements through rigorous financial controls
Provide on-site financial administrative support to vendors, contractors, and staff
Provide coordination and financial input during partner onboarding processes
Accountable for effective Financial Relief Activation Kit (FRAK) management, including field cash, and contractors schedule of fees
Oversee compliance with applicable financial policies and procedures
Provide input for financial reporting and recommend improvements to the finance process in relief operations
