What You Will Do

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcasing the Guidehouse culture, and providing them with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.

What You Will Need

Our Interns help our clients transform their business processes, systems, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, and to comply with Federal laws and regulations. During your assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects to address some of the most significant project challenges faced federal clients. The nature of our projects are extremely fluid and requires self-motivated individuals that are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients’ senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills in the area of technical competency, business development, client service and people development.

You’ll be working with an experienced team to support the development of client deliverables, internal and client presentations, day-to-day project logistics, and any additional project tasks.

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in 2023 and graduate by Summer of 2024)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country
  • No sponsorship is available for this position
  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Computer Science/Computer Information Systems, Business Technology, Systems Management, Finance, Accounting, Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Current GPA of 3.3 or higher

What Would Be Nice To Have

For the Cybersecurity Team’s Open Source Solutions practice, some combination of skills and experience related to:

  • Open source tools/software (e.g., big data analytics, GIS software),
    • Social media platforms and aggregators (e.g., Weibo, WeChat, VK, Facebook, Twitter, Gab, Sprout, Brandwatch) for analysis purposes,
    • Syndicated or API-accessed databases (e.g., S&P, Bloomberg Law),
    • Coding languages (e.g., R and Python),
    • Visualization software (e.g., PowerBI or Tableau),
    • Other technology (e.g., natural language processing and web-scraping techniques),
    • Cyber threat intelligence,
    • Foreign languages, and
    • Specialized niche skills/knowledge (e.g., software billing of materials, counterfeit parts)
